Love as said by the Bible

Proverbs 18:22

He who finds a wife finds a good thing, 

And obtains favor from the Lord. (NKJV)

Proverbs 30:18-19

There are three things that amaze me— 

no, four things that I don't understand: 

how an eagle glides through the sky, 

how a snake slithers on a rock, 

how a ship navigates the ocean, 

how a man loves a woman.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Two are better than one, 

because they have a good return for their labor: 

If either of them falls down, 

one can help the other up. 

But pity anyone who falls 

and has no one to help them up. 

Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. 

But how can one keep warm alone? 

Though one may be overpowered, 

two can defend themselves.

Matthew 19:4-6 

"Haven't you read the Scriptures?" Jesus replied. "They record that from the beginning 'God made them male and female.' " And he said, " 'This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.' Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together."

Mark 10:6-9

Ephesians 4:1-3

Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.

Ephesians 5:22-33

For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church. As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything.

For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God's word. He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault. In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself. No one hates his own body but feeds and cares for it, just as Christ cares for the church. And we are members of his body.

As the Scriptures say, "A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one." This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one. So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Hebrews 13:4-7

Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." So we can confidently say,

"The Lord is my helper; 

I will not fear; 

what can man do to me?"

1 Peter 4:8 

Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.

1 John 3:18

Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

1 John 4:8

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
